While in town this morning to pickup tacos, I stopped by the Brahmas Bull Pen to pick up some Cokes and the American Legion was outside selling cakes and goodies. My eye quickly got stopped on this Earth Quake Cake. If you like the looks of it? Ohhhh that first bite off the fork was heaven. Glad I stopped by and hooked up to help out the American Legion, that Earth Quake Cake hit the spot this morning Uummm Goooood.
Had to go out and see if I could get a sweet shot of the light show that passed by. I think I got a cool one, all one shot, no photoshopping lightning bolts.
The 4th & 5th graders at Stockdale Elementary put on an awesome play of Willy Wonka Kids. Kids you all did an awesome job. Just wanted to post up a little slide show and pics from last nights presentation. Over 700 present last night. Awesome stuff!!!
Was asked to come out and get some pics of the Wounded Warriors as they traveled to Port O’Connor. This was the email I received.
Hello! My name is LTC William A. McCaskill. I am a wounded warrior at Brooke Army Medical Center (BAMC) located at Fort Sam Houston. On May 22nd five buses will depart BAMC at 6:45 a.m. headed down 87 South to Victoria and on to Port O’Connor. The buses will contain 300 wounded warriors and family members bound for a day of fishing in Port O’Connor, an event known as Warrior’s Weekend http://web.mac.com/warriorsweekend/Warriors_Weekend/Home.html
The buses will be escorted by the San Antonio Chapter of the Blue Knights Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club http://www.blueknightstxiv.com/Home/tabid/36/Default.aspx , Wilson County Deputies courtesy of Sheriff Joe D. Tackitt, Jr., La Vernia Police Officers courtesy of Chief Bobby Hyatt, as well as Constable George Scoggins, Fire Marshal Curtis R. Fowler of Stockdale. The convoy will be coming through La Vernia between 7:00 and 7:15 and Stockdale between 7:15 and 7:30.
I wanted to see if there would be any interest in having Girl and Boy Scout Troops along the 87 South route to wave American flags or posters the morning of the 22nd as the buses travel through the respective communities.
Thank you!
LTC William A. McCaskill
